The bowtie has landed a premier advertising placement on the new Manchester United jersey, which will be worn during the team’s 2014-15 season. “Manchester United has more than 659 million supporters around the world, and we want them to know that we march side by side with them,” Tim Mahoney, chief marketing officer for Global Chevrolet, said. “We wanted to celebrate this new shirt with Manchester United supporters in an historic way because they deserve to be part of this important moment in club history.”
To that end, Chevy released a new video that “pays homage to the history of iconic Manchester United shirts,” honoring the past while also celebrating the present and looking forward to sharing the future with Manchester United. We may have had to stop rooting for the U.S. men’s soccer team too early, but at least here at Gjovik Auto, we now have our very own soccer team to cheer for again.
