The numbers are in and they are looking good for the all-new 2016 Chevrolet Cruze, which has earned an EPA-estimated 42 mpg highway rating, putting it ahead of the competition.
The EPA tested all configurations of the Chevy Cruze, including the L, LS, LT, and Premiere trims, as well as models with a six-speed automatic transmission or a six-speed manual. Thanks to the direct-injected 1.4-liter EcoTec turbocharged four-cylinder, every model with the automatic transmission other than the Premiere was rated at 30 mpg city, 42 mpg highway, and 35 mpg combined. The manual was rated at 30 mpg city, 41 mpg highway, and 34 mpg combined.
That’s better than any of the competition was able to achieve with a four-cylinder engine, including the Ford Focus (40 mpg highway), Hyundai Elantra (37 mpg highway), and Volkswagen Jetta (40 mpg highway).
Part of the reason the 2016 Chevrolet Cruze is the most fuel-efficient car in its class is its leaner architecture, which has helped it lose nearly 250 pounds of weight. In addition, its stop/start technology has bolstered its city fuel economy by about 7%. You won’t want to miss it at Gjovik Auto!
Just about anyone in or previously in the military can benefit, including active duty members, reservists, National Guard members, and retirees and their spouses of the U.S. Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard. Just counting the veterans, that’s an estimated 21 million people who can benefit from the program.
The discounts will apply to most of the vehicles in our lineup at Gjovik Auto, excluding only Cadillac models and the Corvette Z06 as well as the base-level trims for certain models. Discounts will vary per model, from $1,500 off the price of a 2015 Camaro SS to $3,000 off the Silverado All Star.
In any case, active and retired members of the military are bound to find something to their liking, especially since the GM military discount program can be combined with any other GM incentive!
