At the recent North American International Auto Show in Detroit, Chevrolet showed off the first-ever LEGO® Silverado. This life-size truck is a replica of the all-new 2019 Silverado 1500 LT Trail Boss. It is also the first full-size Chevrolet vehicle to be built entirely out of LEGO bricks.

This truck was built through a partnership between Chevrolet and Warner Bros. Pictures to celebrate the release of “The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part.” This continues the partnership that started in 2017 with “The LEGO Batman Movie” and the LEGO Batmobile from Chevrolet.

Sandor Piszar, director of Chevrolet Truck marketing, said, “The themes of determination and teamwork in the new movie align perfectly with our Chevy brand values, and we are sure that the all-new Silverado has the features, technologies, and strength that would help Emmet, Lucy and their friends as they take on exciting new challenges.”

To build the LEGO replica, 18 LEGO Master Builders spent more than 2,000 hours hand building the truck at the LEGO Group’s Model Shop in Enfield, Connecticut. The builders used 334,544 pieces to build the truck, which includes working lights and unique graphic details. The finished truck weighs 3,307 pounds and measure 72 inches high, 240 inches long, and 96 inches wide.
